What You Can Expect
Full day sightseeing and visit the Saadabad Palace & Niavaran Complex which located at the north of Tehran. Darband is a neighborhood inside Tehran's city limits. It is the beginning of a very popular hiking trail into the Mount Tochal, which towers over Tehran.
Saadabad is a cultural and historical complex that covers an area of 110 hectares and is located at the northernmost part of Tehran. The complex contains 18 palaces belonged to the royal families of Qajar and Pahlavi, in a unique and beautiful garden.
The complex was first built and inhabited by Qajar monarchs in the 19th century. After an expansion of the compounds, Reza Shah of the Pahlavi Dynasty lived there in the 1920s, and his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, moved there in the 1970s. After the 1978 Revolution, the complex became a museum. Some of the palaces in Saadabad complex such as Mellat Palace Museum (White Palace), Fine Arts Museum, Green Palace Museum, Master MirEmad Calligraphy Museum, Royal Costume Museum, Master Behzad Museum.
The Niavaran Palace Complex is a historical complex situated in Shemiran, Iran. It consists of several buildings and monuments dating back to the Qajar and Pahlavi eras.
